The problem, as they feel it

A buyer of aerial survey data needs to know what was captured, when, at what resolution, and by a device that was not tampered with. The owner of that data does not want to hand over the flight path, the exact coordinates or the raw imagery to prove it. And neither side wants a permanent record of who bought which slice.

The approach, as designed: acquire, accredit, prove

    Signed at capture
    The device's secure element signs every byte as it is captured. A tampered pixel breaks the seal.
  2. 02
    Verified once, then anchored
    An attestation-gated verifier runs every check off-chain and compresses the result into one verdict the chain can verify.
  3. 03
    Proved on Midnight
    The owner produces one selective-disclosure proof carrying the public record and nothing else.
  4. 04
    Bought without a trace
    Buyers hold no account. Each purchase is a fresh shielded coin and a fresh secret.

Each step is done by the party best placed to do it, and each leaves behind something the next step can check without repeating the work. The expensive verification happens once, off-chain; the chain only checks a verdict, and a buyer only sees a card.

What a buyer receives

The card. Region, month of capture, resolution as an upper bound, and the fact that every check passed. Coordinates and the device stay shielded and stay provable: the buyer can verify the claim without ever seeing what backs it. Reveal only a card. Negotiate the rest.

Where it stands

Presented at the cohort's pitch day and live at zkyproof.eddalabs.io, not yet wired to Midnight. The mockup lists a storm-damage roof survey with its public record on paper and everything else shielded; the same design carries any survey where the buyer needs certainty and the owner needs to keep the map. The build is the next step.
